What is EGR ?

Meeting the various global emissions challenges, EGR works by reducing the amount of oxygen in the cylinder, which lowers combustion temperatures. It's an efficient process for reducing NOx. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is used to reduce the levels of NOx emitted by the engine.

Why off it?

As it recirculates exhaust gasses, it will allso collect the soot and gunk from exhaustgasses. This soot will eventually block the usage of egr valve and most times it stucks open, resulting in limpmode and losing of boost. We off egr system so valve remains close and engine gets only 100% fresh air and this allso prevents the egr valve from malfuntioning in the end.
