Chiptuning
As long as there has been electronic controllers (ecus) controlling modern diesel and petrol engines , there has been a need to "modify" the parametres the ecu holds. These parameters are most times called "maps", but as common way to say it we can edit an hence "tune" the output of these ecu controlled engines.
Chip tuning is a change to the factory parameters that are set in the engine's computer allso known as ECU..
The goal is to unlock the power potential that is limited by the factory in order for the car to meet certain eco-standards, different tax categories, different target customer groups, or just sometimes choked by manufacturer to get better cash for "higher" horsepower versions of the same engine.
All of these limitations can be removed and hence the engine performance improved.
Through chip tuning, you will get the full potential of your engine without the risk of damage, smoke or high fuel consumption.
Stgfiles techs can edit these calibrations in a way that we can adjust them to meet clients needs, may that be whatever.
Stage 1
Allso called chip tuning for totally stock engine is aimed to provide that requested added power and torque ,without any hardware modifications on engine. We have infosheets in our use of what the enginecomponents can safely output without pushing them over the limits. So we just "unleash / unchoke" the engine to work on its full capasity that it is capable of without putting too much stress on components.
Stage 2
This is point where hardware modifications are needed. Normally stage 2 is maximum boost that stock turbocharger can output without backpressure (from cat/opf/dpf). We allso recommend sports airfilter to match the turbochargers/engines need for fresh air. Use proper freeflow filters as in k&n, pipercross PANEL flowfilters that go either in stock airfilterhousing or get an aftermarket intake like cold air intake.
Options
We can allso upon request remove emission related components from usage with proper off solution and dtc removal combination. These emission related options are most times EGR DPF OPF ADBLUE NOX systems. Check our full options list inside the portal.
Remember,
Raising power and torque on stock engine and removing emission related accessories are meant for racing use, you might be required to upgrade brakes and suspension to matching powerlevel model of the car.
Tuning and off solutions are not to be used on legal roadused vehicles, all modifications and road use are on clients own responsibility.
