Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS CHIPTUNING?
In modern fuel-injected vehicles, the engine is controlled by a component called the ECU (Engine Control Unit). The ECU manages the air/fuel mixture ratio, timing, turbo boost, fuel injection pressure, and many parameters based on data received from its sensors.
Many settings such as how much fuel to send at what temperature and when to perform ignition are stored in the ECU by automobile manufacturers. Chip Tuning is the process of readjusting these settings according to customer requirements for performance and/or fuel economy.
