Just some common knowledge shared on using OFF solutions properly
EGR OFF:
Egr off will stop your exhaust gas recirculation and provide nice clean air through all rpm range, allso provides help for those easily breaking and soot stucked egr valves that we see so often.
Most of our egr off solutions on electronically operated egr valves dont require unplugging.
If your egr valve is older model and its vacuum operated, then you need to pull vacuumline off and plug it so vacuum not leaking.
NOTICE! If your egr is stuck open, egr off file wont help since boost can still escape through open egr valve.
even if the egr is left in place with off solution, clean it so it will remain shut nicely and tight or just delete it entirely.
DPF OFF:
DPF is a catch can for those nox particales that diesel engines provide through burning diesel. When diesel engines are tuned we want our exhaust gasses escaping from turbo as fast and with as straight way as it can. So deleting dpf may come in question when tuning stage 2 level and over that.
Before you start to do dpf off for your ecu, use diagtool and RESET all dpf related with diagnostic tool of your choice.
DONT write in mod file first and then start to wonder about reset. Your just wasting your and clients time.
Reset first, unplug ecu, take dpf out and cut it open or install directly downpipe on its place. Then write modfile in and dpf deleted properly.
Remember that dpf off must be paired with dpf delete or downpipe in place. DO NOT turn dpf off without doing something for dpf itself.
Adblue off:
Adblue/scr sprays urea or other additive to escaping exhaust gasses catching last nox particles escaping dpf. On a racecar these units are not really needed as they take a lot of space and weight a lot. So deleting unit or just turning them off can come to rescue.
When doing adblue off allways start by RESETing adblue unit and nox too with diagnostic tool of your choice. Now you can either unplug battery and go for ecu in bench read/write or advance directly via obd2 programming.
RESETS MUST be done on ORIGINAL file allways before you start to even remove ecu from car for benching or doing obd2 programming.
REMEMBER IN MOST EURO COUNTRYES REMOVING DPF/OPF IS ILLEGAL, SOLUTIONS ARE MENT FOR TRACK USE ONLY!
